Job Summary
We are looking for reliable, professional and physically fit Street Team / Event Stewards to join our growing events team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role combining event stewarding, customer service and event crew duties. You will help ensure events run safely and smoothly while also being heavily involved in loading, unloading, moving and installing event equipment. The role involves frequent heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, often for extended periods and in busy event environments.
Responsibilities
* Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
* Manage crowds, queues, entrances and ticket/accreditation checks.
* Monitor event areas and identify safety concerns or hazards.
* Respond appropriately to incidents and customer enquiries.
* Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members via two-way radio.
* Work alongside event management, security and crew teams.
* Load, unload, carry, move and position heavy event equipment.
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of event infrastructure, including:
* Staging and staging components * Pedestrian barriers (Ped Fences)
* Crowd control barriers
* Metal poles
* Mojo barriers
* Other event equipment and infrastructure
* Carry out repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting throughout shifts.
* Safely push, pull, lift and transport equipment as directed by supervisors.
* Follow all manual handling, health and safety and event procedures.
* Maintain a professional appearance and excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety or willing to undertake the course
* Minimum 6 months - 1 year’s experience in event stewarding, event crew, warehouse operations, nightclub/club work or a similar physically demanding environment.
* Previous experience using two-way radios.
* Experience with manual handling and heavy lifting.
* Physically fit and capable of safely lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy event equipment repeatedly throughout a shift.
* Comfortable standing and working for extended periods.
* Good understanding of safe manual handling and health & safety procedures.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure.
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and event-specific shifts.
* Right to work in the UK.

You must be comfortable with the physical demands of event work, including regular heavy lifting and moving equipment during setup and breakdown.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
