Job Overview
Protempeh is seeking a Plant-Based Production assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-expanding plant-based food company, producing one of the most nutritious, sustainable foods: tempeh.
Key Duties
- Help with the production of tempeh: full training provided
- Processing tempeh into pasteurised blocks, slices, and cubes
- Maintaining high hygiene standards, including general cleaning and washing up after each production run
- Following food safety protocols and supporting HACCP compliance
- Assisting with general production tasks as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 2 Food manufacturing (can be completed via a 3-hour online course)
- HACCP awareness and compliance: training provided; experience in catering or food manufacturing is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail, with a reliable and hard-working attitude
- Ability to consistently follow food safety procedures
- Own transportation required to access our site at Stetchworth Estate Farms
- Please note: This role is offered on a self-employed basis
Working Hours & Pay
- 2–3 days per week
- Flexible hours, typical schedule is 8:30 AM – 3:30 / 4 PM with two 15-minute breaks and a lunch break
- £100 per shift
