Health Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated healthcare assistant to join our growing domiciliary care team. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, and companionship.
- Assist with implementing personalised care plans, ensuring each client's preferences and needs are respected.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote independence, confidence, and overall well-being.
- Prompt or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and under appropriate supervision.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional health to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate care records using digital care management systems and documentation tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team.
- Travel between clients' homes and provide safe transportation to appointments or community activities where required.
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment while following safeguarding and infection control procedures.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred/required depending on the role) with willingness to travel between clients' homes.
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, or a similar care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training may be provided.
- Good understanding of person-centred care and the ability to follow individual care plans.
- Basic IT skills for completing electronic care records and documentation.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and also contribute as part of a supportive care team.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where required.

Pay: £12.75-£14.00 per hour
