Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming engineering drawings into finished metal products through skilled welding, cutting, and assembly. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on expertise will drive the success of our fabrication projects, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Duties
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to guide fabrication processes
- Perform TIG welding and welding on various metals including stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
- Inspect your own work for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and EN-1090 standards
- Assemble fabricated parts accurately according to project requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently throughout each stage of fabrication
Experience
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in welding stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum with proficiency in TIG welding techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
- Experience working from engineering drawings or technical plans is highly desirable
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Standards Awareness: A strong understanding of structural steelwork regulations (EN1090), health and safety schemes (SSiP), and quality management systems (ISO9001).
Possession of one or more of the following is highly advantageous
- Coded welding certification (MIG and/or TIG)
- Valid CSCS/JIB/PMES card
- IOSH Working Safely/CCNSG or Similar.
- C&G Confined Space
- 1 Day First Aid
- Mental Health First Aid
- Very occasional site work and stay away maybe required.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
