Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef De Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, following recipes and presentation guidelines
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring all food preparation is efficient and of premium quality
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and plating food items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies to the head chef
- Support junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across all kitchen operations
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Passion for delivering exceptional service and high-quality cuisine
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
