Job Title: Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
Location: Based centrally to Milton Keynes (Hybrid/Flexible) – with travel nationwide
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
Reporting To: Head of Building Consultancy

The Role
You will work closely with the Director and wider team, delivering a range of professional building surveying and project monitoring instructions for lenders, investors, owners and occupiers throughout the UK.
The role will be primarily focused on:
Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Acquisition Surveys.
Commercial Building Surveys.
Project Monitoring on behalf of banks and lending institutions.
Defect diagnosis and technical reporting.
Historic and heritage property assessments.
Planned maintenance and condition reporting.
Client relationship management.
Business development and fee generation.
While the role is centred around Milton Keynes, instructions are undertaken nationwide and travel across the UK is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Technical Due Diligence and acquisition surveys on commercial and leisure properties.
- Prepare detailed survey reports for lenders, investors and occupiers.
- Deliver project monitoring instructions for UK banking and financial institutions.
- Assess building condition and advise on risks, defects and remedial works.
- Manage client instructions from appointment through to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client and professional relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and business growth.
- Support the continued expansion of the Building Surveying Division.
- Represent Pinders professionally across client meetings and networking activities.
- Contribute to the firm's long-term growth strategy.
Candidate Requirements
Essential: Post-qualification surveying experience. Strong private practice background. Experience undertaking Technical Due Diligence and acquisition surveys. Experience undertaking Bank monitoring roles a benefit. Commercial property surveying experience. Excellent written reporting skills. Strong client-facing and communication abilities. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel nationally.
Desirable: Experience of leisure, hospitality or specialist commercial assets. Experience of historic or heritage buildings. Project monitoring experience. Existing lender, investor or professional contact network. Demonstrable business development experience.
