Join one of the UK's most celebrated Michelin-starred restaurants.
The Whitebrook is a destination restaurant nestled in the beautiful Wye Valley, proudly holding 1 Michelin Star, a Michelin Green Star, and 4 AA Rosettes. Our philosophy is rooted in seasonality, sustainability, and showcasing the very best ingredients from our kitchen gardens, local producers, and the surrounding landscape.
As we continue to evolve, we are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join our ambitious and passionate team.

- Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen brigade.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency.
- Working closely on seasonal menu development and new dishes.
- Championing our ethos of using produce from our kitchen gardens, local suppliers, and foraged ingredients.
- Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Managing stock, ordering, and helping to minimise waste.
- Taking responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef Owner.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both technical ability and strong leadership.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or accomplished Junior Sous Chef within a Michelin-starred or 3 AA Rosette kitchen.
- A genuine passion for exceptional ingredients, seasonality, and sustainable cooking.
- Experience working in high-end tasting menu environments.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm, focused, and composed during busy services.
- A positive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Ambition to continue learning and growing within one of the UK's leading fine dining kitchens.
