Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo, including flatbed deliveries, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all trips and cargo movements.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch teams, customers, and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar cargo handling experience.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by operational demands.
