We are an ambitious and fast-growing Training Centre seeking a highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to join our small team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and wants to play a key role in supporting sales growth. As the backbone of our sales function, you'll help ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience from their initial enquiry through to project handover.
This role also plays an important part in supporting the continued growth of our apprenticeship provision, building relationships with local employers and identifying opportunities to develop new and existing business.
The Role
As Sales Coordinator, you'll be responsible for supporting the main Business Development function of the business, coordinating sales administration, preparing quotations, maintaining our CRM system, and ensuring opportunities are progressed efficiently.
In addition to supporting new business activity, you will proactively manage and develop relationships with our existing clients, identifying opportunities to upsell our services and grow our apprenticeship offering. You'll also engage with local businesses, promoting our apprenticeship programmes and building long-term partnerships that generate new opportunities.
As this role involves visiting local employers and attending meetings, a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and supporting sales documentation.
- Proactively follow up quotations and outstanding opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the CRM system.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports and pipeline updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Develop existing client accounts by identifying opportunities to upsell additional services and apprenticeship programmes.
- Build new relationships with local employers to promote and expand our apprenticeship provision.
- Arrange and attend meetings with prospective and existing clients to discuss workforce development and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Coordinate customer onboarding and ensure a seamless handover to operational teams.
About You

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Sales Coordinator, Sales Support, Internal Sales, Business Development or Customer Account Management role.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Confidence in meeting with clients and developing long-term business relationships.
- Proven ability to identify upselling opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive, positive and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable
- Experience within a B2B sales environment.
- Experience promoting apprenticeship programmes or training services.
- Knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Experience supporting Business Development Managers or external sales teams.
