We are looking for a new Warehouse Supervisor to join and lead our friendly Warehouse and Goods-in team. We are looking for a methodical and responsible individual to fill this exciting retail and operational role here at Longacres! You will need to be experienced in supervisory roles and be able to lead a team and keep morale up within it, along with having past experience in customer facing and retail environments. This role will require heavy lifting.

Store: Shepperton
Department: Stoneware/warehouse
Contract: Monday to Friday with a day off in the week and alternate weekends
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Overseeing every aspect of the compost and stoneware departments. Ensuring retail standards are met.
· Ordering, replenishment and merchandising of stock.
· Helping customers with their enquiries.
· Receiving and processing all deliveries and report any discrepancies.
· Stowing and storing all deliveries safely and optimising the available storage space.
· Picking orders for customer deliveries and collections.
· Organise inter-store transfers.
· Performing warehouse inventory controls where required.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
· Ensuring all areas within the warehouse, compost, and stoneware departments are safe.
· Produce staff rosters for the Warehouse, Transport, and Internet departments so that departments are appropriately covered.
· Organising and managing the transport team.
· Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all machinery, making sure they are all within legal regulations.
· Communicate with and support all trading departments.
· Manage and aid the Transport Department plan their routes.
· To assist in other areas of the Garden Centre as required
· Rostered opening and closing of the garden centre.
Key Skills and Competencies:
· You are enthusiastic and approachable
· Basic computer knowledge is essential (Microsoft, Excel, etc.)
· You are willing to develop and learn
· Good customer service skills
· High level of experience with in a similar fast paced retail environment
· Previous logistic experience
· Prior leadership experience
· Previous experience supervising a warehouse. (desirable but not strictly essential)
· First aid qualification
· Reach truck license.
Essential Qualifications:
· Forklift license
· Driving license
