Ketra Logistics is looking for an ambitious, commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across our transport and logistics operations selling the Palletways network delivery service. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building strategic relationships, and delivering profitable growth.
We are not looking for someone to simply maintain existing accounts. We need a hunter – someone with a track record of identifying opportunities, opening doors, and securing significant volumes of palletised freight within the London area.
As Ketra continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering the right individual the opportunity to develop their career alongside the business and play a key role in shaping our commercial strategy.
The Role
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities .
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating and converting new business opportunities within the palletised freight sector.
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets.
- Building relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and implementation.
- Preparing commercial proposals, tenders and presentations.
- Ensuring all opportunities deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.
- Supporting the development of future commercial strategies as the business grows.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in business development within the transport, logistics or supply chain sector. Previous experience with the pallet network would be an advantage.
- A demonstrable track record of winning and retaining significant new business contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities, margins and long-term profitability.
- Experience managing or influencing P&L performance and understanding the financial drivers of a logistics operation.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- A proactive, self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach.
- The desire to grow with a fast-moving business and take on increasing responsibility over time.

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
