Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter Decorator / Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services, as well as performing general handyman tasks to maintain and improve residential and commercial properties. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer or undercoat as required
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Repair, maintain, and install fixtures, fittings, or other property elements as needed
- Assist with minor construction or renovation tasks including carpentry, plastering, or tiling
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised during and after completion of tasks
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
- Drive company vehicles to various sites as required for project mobilisation or material transportation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related handyman roles
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
- Good command of English language, both spoken and written
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Practical knowledge of tools, materials, and safety procedures relevant to painting and general maintenance tasks
- Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
