The Winchmore hotel is a busy seafront hotel and we are currently looking for a Night Porter 1 night a week 10:30pm till 7:30am, and to cover 1 bar shift 1 evening a week between 4:30pm and 10:30pm. Also to cover any holiday hours if and when required.
Candidate must be able to work weekends
Ideally, you’ll have experience in hotels or hospitality in a similar role, and applicants need to be over the age of 25 as you will be working by yourself over night.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
- Knowledge of checking in and checking out procedures
-Working on the bar serving drinks and cleaning down the bar when it closes
- Adequate knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety procedures. Detailed training on our particular policies will be provided.
- Be responsible for cleanliness of all public areas inside and outside the hotel
- Comfortable with working alone through the night
- Experience of working with the public, handling unpredictable behaviour and crisis situations advantageous.
- You may also be required to serve a buffet breakfast for guests that require an early breakfast.
-cleaning and relaying both dining rooms when required
