Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Who will be responsible for the transportation and the dispensing of AdBlue safely and efficiently to various locations, local and nationwide, including commercial clients, depots and rural locations in the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-supplied light commercial van to transport and dispense bulk AdBlue to customer sites in accordance to company procedure. A standard UK driving licence is all that is required.
- Complete deliveries efficiently and reliably, ensuring schedules and customer expectations are consistently met.
- Accurately complete all delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures to confirm receipt of goods.
- Perform routine pre and post delivery vehicle and equipment inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with customers in person and over the phone, acting as a positive ambassador for the company.
- Comply with all company policies, health and safety procedures, environmental standards, and UK road traffic legislation.
- Plan and navigate delivery routes effectively, adapting to a variety of road and weather conditions, including frequent travel on rural roads.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the delivery service by working efficiently, proactively, and as part of a wider team.
Training will be provided.
Eligibility
- You must have held a full UK licence for a minimum of 3 years.
- Driving licence must be clean.
- Experience in deliveries is preferred.
- 40 Hours Per Week - Must be flexible on working hours (typical start time 7-9AM).
- Must be motivated, confident, polite and a team player.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions.
- Ability to work overtime.
- You will also need to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
Skills
- Previous experience in driving a light commercial vehicle.
- Strong driving skills, with a clean driving record and valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely.
- Reliable, punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility towards safety and customer satisfaction.
