About Us
Timloc Building Products is a long‑established British manufacturer based in Howden, East Yorkshire, producing sustainable building products from ground level to roof ridge and supplying merchants with a broad range supported by next‑day service.
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Materials Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate control, availability, and replenishment of materials required to support our manufacturing and operational activities.
About the Role
As a Materials Controller, you will be responsible for inventory accuracy, stock control processes and material replenishment. This is a hands-on role, you will work closely with production, warehousing, and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory records remain accurate.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control
- Conduct silo counts.
- Maintain control of consumables.
- Ordering consumable items.
- Physical cyclical stock counts across all material categories.
- Investigate stock discrepancies.
- Receipt purchase orders.
- Chase overdue purchase orders.
Quality Checks
- Physically checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Report damaged or incorrect goods to Supply Chain Manager.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in physical inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to investigate problems and identify root causes.
Desirable
- FLT (Forklift Truck) certification is required.
