As a Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care for women with pelvic floor and bladder conditions. You’ll work both autonomously and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team to provide expert assessment, treatment and ongoing management.
Your main duties will include:
Running nurse‑led clinics such as pessary management, bladder retraining, catheter care, self catheterisation and pelvic floor education
Providing specialist assessment and advice , supporting women to understand their condition and make informed choices about their care
Supporting diagnostic and treatment pathways , and developing own skills to undertake urodynamics, botulinum toxin, conservative management and post‑operative follow‑up
Managing your own caseload , ensuring safe, effective and timely care
Working closely with consultants, physiotherapists and wider MDT colleagues to deliver seamless, evidence‑based care
Contributing to service development , quality improvement and audit to help shape a modern, responsive urogynaecology service
Offering education and support to patients, families and colleagues, helping to raise awareness of pelvic health across the organisation
