EduLink is currently recruiting for a passionate and engaging Catering Teacher to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Coventry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people who have faced barriers to mainstream education. You'll deliver practical catering lessons that develop students' cooking skills, confidence, teamwork, and independence while helping them achieve recognised vocational outcomes and prepare for future employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging practical catering and food technology lessons
- Teach food preparation, cooking techniques, nutrition, kitchen safety, and food hygiene
- Support students with SEMH, behavioural needs, and additional learning needs
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs and abilities of students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
- Maintain a safe, organised, and fully compliant kitchen environment
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to promote student engagement and success
Requirements
- Experience teaching, tutoring, training, or mentoring within catering, hospitality, or food technology
- A catering, hospitality, or professional cookery qualification is desirable
- QTS/QTLS is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is advantageous
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
