Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. Previous experience is essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages
- Engage with customers in a courteous manner, fostering a positive café environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers and handling cash transactions confidently
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling beverages
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
