An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join Adult Services as an Assistant Team Manager within the NCN West long-term Adult service, Social work team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, skilled and compassionate professional who is committed to delivering high-quality assessment and care management, strengths-based social work practice. NCN West is a generic adult social care service, offering varied and rewarding opportunities to work across a range of specialisms and support adults at important and often pivotal points in their lives.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant professional Social Work qualification and will bring strong leadership skills, sound professional judgement and a clear commitment to person-centred, outcome-focused practice. You will hold a small, complex caseload while also supporting the Team Manager and existing Assistant Team Manager in providing day-to-day leadership, operational oversight and professional guidance to the team.
A key part of the role will be providing advice and support to staff, assisting with operational and professional decision-making, and contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the service. You will work closely with colleagues across health, social care and partner organisations to ensure that people receive coordinated, effective and timely support.
You will also be required to provide professional supervision to appropriate staff, supporting reflective practice, positive risk-taking and professional development.
