On-Call Animal Transport Driver (Monthly Rota)
We are looking for a reliable and flexible On-Call Animal Transport Driver to join our team on a monthly rota.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be available for on-call duties as scheduled on the monthly rota.
- Collect animals arriving at the port in a safe, calm, and professional manner.
- Transport animals securely to designated kennels, ensuring their welfare throughout the journey.
- Return animals from the kennels to the port or other designated locations as required.
- Complete all transport documentation accurately and report any issues or concerns.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and suitable for animal transport.
- Follow all animal welfare, health and safety, and biosecurity procedures.
Requirements:
- Full, valid driving licence.
- Flexible availability to work on an on-call basis according to the monthly rota.
- Comfortable handling and transporting animals with care and compassion.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience with animal handling or transport is desirable but not essential.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, enjoys working with animals, and can respond promptly when called upon to provide a professional transport service.
Pay: £12.71-£22.03 per hour
