Do you enjoy cooking good, home-cooked meals that make a real difference to people's lives?
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Cook to join our small residential respite home supporting adults with learning disabilities.
This is a rewarding role where you'll work independently in our kitchen, planning and preparing nutritious meals for up to eight residents. You'll have the opportunity to get to know the people we support and help create a welcoming, homely environment through great food.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and preparing healthy, varied meals and snacks.
Catering for individual dietary needs, preferences and allergies.
Managing stock, placing orders and maintaining kitchen records.
Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Working within food safety regulations and company policies.
Managing your kitchen independently and taking pride in your work.
What we're looking for:
Experience of cooking in a professional kitchen, care setting, school, café or similar environment.
Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
A positive, caring and professional attitude.
Reliable, organised and able to plan ahead.
Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
