Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Dental Nurse to lead our dental team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, supporting dentists during procedures, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the dental nursing team, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of patient care
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including pre- and post-treatment advice and support
- Maintain strict infection control protocols in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Organise appointments efficiently using IT systems, ensuring optimal utilisation of practice resources
- Manage stock levels of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff to uphold professional standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and providing clear information about treatments
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse, with a recognised qualification in dental nursing (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
- Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities in English
- Proficiency in IT systems related to dental practice management and record keeping
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative and professionalism
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
