Overview:
Airblast UK is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves both off-site service work and on-site engineering tasks at our Langtoft workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and assembling abrasive blast cleaning equipment and paint spray equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations across the UK to service, repair, and maintain blast and paint spray equipment.
- Attending breakdowns at clients’ sites, diagnosing faults, and completing repairs, replacing parts as required.
- Assemble, service and test equipment at our site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and offer advice on equipment care and best practices in line with Airblast protocols.
- Work closely with the technical & sales team to ensure smooth operations and communicate any service requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent Airblast UK professionally while on-site at customer locations.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job details and any parts used.
- Complete digital job sheets in a timely manner detailing work carried out and parts used/ordered.
- Play a key role in the wider Service Engineer team, proving support to colleagues as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A background in mechanical engineering or a related field is essential.
- Previous experience with blast and paint spray equipment is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and work flexible hours, depending on job requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving license.
