Hi Lift Driver

Hours: Part time, 8 hours a week, varied shifts
Pay: £15.71 ph
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Hi-Lift Driver to join our Assisted Travel team. You will play a key role in supporting passengers with reduced mobility (PRM), ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality journey through the airport.
About the Role:You will be responsible for:
Operate ambulifts, minibuses, and specialist vehicles to transport PRM passengers airside
Assist passengers safely to/from aircraft, terminal, and vehicles using manual handling techniques
Coordinate boarding and disembarkation with cabin crew and ground staff
Ensure safe operation and control of all ambulift equipment (platforms, lifts, controls)
Plan and deliver efficient transport of multiple passengers to meet departure times
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults in line with procedures
Maintain high standards of customer care throughout the passenger journey
Undertake additional duties including driving buggies, marshalling, and terminal assistance

What we are looking for:
Full UK driving licence (Category B, held for at least 2 years)
Experience driving large vehicles (e.g. minibuses or similar)
Ability to obtain an airside driving permit (including medical and colour vision test)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and nights
Physically capable of manual handling duties
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Reliable, professional, and able to stay calm under pressure
