Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication skills. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and maintain confidentiality
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Ensure the clinical environment is organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures, offering reassurance and support as needed
- Maintain stock levels of dental supplies and order replacements when necessary
Requirements
- recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse (GDC registration preferred)
- Proven experience in patient care within a private dental setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Competent IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilisation procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
- Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care
