The Role:
As an LPG Tanker Driver, you will balance independence on the road with supportive teamwork at the depot. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Safely delivering bulk LPG in commercial tankers to our valued commercial, industrial, agricultural, and domestic customers across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, and Mid Wales.
- Managing delivery equipment, including pulling and securing heavy tanker delivery hoses across various terrains.
- Providing friendly, high-quality customer service during drop-offs.
- Conducting routine daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
- Completing straightforward delivery paperwork accurately.
What You’ll Need:
- A valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence.
- A valid ADR Licence (Class 2 Gases) is strictly required for this role.
- A valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
- A clean driving record (maximum of 3 penalty points).
- Good Physical Fitness: The role is active, involving regular movement around the vehicle, handling delivery hoses, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Experience: Around 3 years of delivery driving experience is preferred. Experience navigating a mix of urban hubs, tight rural lanes, and agricultural tracks in rigid tankers (with LPG, fuel, milk, or similar bulk liquids) is a massive advantage.
- Attributes: Great knowledge of the Cheshire, North, and Mid Wales road infrastructure, excellent safety standards, and the flexibility to take on overtime during peak winter periods.
