We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable Support Worker to join our friendly team. This is

making a positive difference in the lives of older adults living with dementia. The successful candidate will
be patient, confident, and approachable, with a genuine passion for supporting others. You will work closely
with our small, dedicated team to promote the wellbeing, independence, and dignity of those who attend
our service.
Key Responsibilities
Support effective communication with individuals attending the day care service.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and meaningful activities that
promote wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion.
Lead group activities, seated exercises, and quizzes.
Aid with personal care, ensuring individuals are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
Contribute to team meetings, supervision sessions, and service development by providing
constructive feedback.
Support individuals in ways that promote their rights, choice, inclusion, and overall wellbeing.
Maintain a safe environment by carrying out health and safety checks, responding appropriately
to emergencies, and following organisational procedures.
Promote and uphold safeguarding practices to protect the welfare of all service users.
About You
Be confident, friendly, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Have knowledge and understanding of dementia and the challenges experienced by older adults
living with the condition.
Have experience working within dementia care or a similar adult social care setting.
Be caring, respectful, and committed to preserving the dignity, independence, and individuality of
every person you support.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be dependable, punctual, and committed to providing consistently high standards of care.
Essential Requirements
SVQ Level 2 (or above) in Social Services & Healthcare (adult social care).
Current PVG Scheme Membership, or willingness to join.
Valid identification and the legal right to work in the UK.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
