Responsibilities
- Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Perform picking and packing duties with precision to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining quality control standards.
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are organized for easy access and inventory accuracy is maintained at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and storage areas to uphold safety standards; perform basic mechanical tasks as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment to promote efficiency and safety for all team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling, picking & packing, and stock management.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is highly preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software for tracking stock movements.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting regularly and load & unload shipments efficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge to support equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for quality control and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: £25,420.00-£40,186.66 per year
