Discount Flooring Superstore is a fast-growing flooring business specialising in glue-down LVT at some of the most competitive prices in the UK.
We focus on volume, strong customer service, competitive pricing, and closing sales. We work with both retail customers and trade buyers, so we need someone confident, proactive, and comfortable selling both face-to-face and over the phone.
The Role
We’re looking for a Hybrid Sales Representative to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is not just a showroom role. You’ll be involved in both in-store sales and phone-based sales, including following up leads, calling trade customers, handling enquiries, preparing quotes, and converting interest into confirmed orders.
The ideal person will already have some experience in flooring, construction, DIY, trade sales, or a similar product-based sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in-store and over the phone
- Advising customers on flooring options, especially glue-down LVT
- Explaining product suitability, basic fitting requirements, and accessories needed
- Preparing quotes and processing customer orders
- Following up warm leads and previous enquiries
- Making proactive sales calls to trade and retail customers
- Building relationships with fitters, tradespeople, landlords, developers, and repeat buyers
- Upselling accessories such as adhesive, trims, screed, and fitting essentials
- Maintaining showroom standards and keeping displays presentable
- Supporting with stock checks, deliveries, and general showroom duties when needed
- Keeping customer records and follow-ups organised
Requirements
- Previous experience in flooring, construction, trade sales, DIY, or a related industry
- Good understanding of products such as LVT, laminate, vinyl, or similar flooring products
- Confident speaking with both retail customers and tradespeople
- Comfortable making outbound calls and following up sales leads
- Sales-focused mindset with the ability to close deals
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative
