We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role offers consistent work, strong annual earning potential and a premium pay package reflecting the demands of regular tramping. It would suit an experienced driver who takes pride in their vehicle, works safely and is comfortable managing their time independently.
- Estimated annual earnings of £48,100–£60,580, depending on hours and nights worked
- Every hour worked is paid, including breaks
- £25 night-out allowance for each qualifying night

- WORKING PATTERN
The successful candidate must be able to stay out for five nights each week.
The normal working pattern is Monday through to Saturday morning, returning to the yard on Saturday. Start and finish times will vary according to the workload and delivery schedule.
You will carry out deliveries and collections across the UK while remaining away from home throughout the working week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing UK-wide deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Securing and checking loads correctly
- Completing delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
- Complying with drivers’ hours, working-time and road-transport regulations
- Reporting defects, delays and operational issues promptly
- Communicating professionally with customers and the transport office
- Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable
- Representing the company professionally at all times
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Availability to stay out for five nights each week
- Ability to work Monday through to Saturday morning
- Valid Category C+E/Class 1 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Previous Class 1 and tramping experience preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and working-time rules
- A safe, responsible and professional approach
- Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- A positive attitude towards vehicle care and customer service
Hours will vary according to workload and operational requirements. All schedules will be arranged subject to applicable drivers’ hours and working-time regulations.
