Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics using a variety of CAD software tools.
NOTE - Must have experience with Solidworks
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cabinet making, furniture and architectural design to contribute to innovative projects within a collaborative environment. A successful candidate must have experience in high-end bespoke joinery and specialise in turning design concepts into clear, buildable workshop-ready precise production drawings, joinery detailing, and technical documentation that is easy for both workshop teams and contractors to understand.
Duties
Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using drawing softwares ready for CNC
Prepare schematics and technical documentation for projects ready for CNC
Collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements
Review existing drawings for accuracy, consistency, adherence to industry standards and manufacturers specifications ready for CNC
Update and maintain drawing databases with revisions and new information as required
Support the designers in preparing construction documents, plans, sections, elevations, and details
Qualifications
Proven experience with CAD software such as SketchUp & Solid works/Swood
Strong understanding of furniture manufacture, construction processes and CNC processes
Familiarity with drafting standards and industry regulations within the residential construction sector
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in technical drawing production
Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role is ideal for motivated individuals that have experience in the high end construction & renovation industry. They will have a history in joinery manufacture & understand the transition between breathtaking design and functional build ability.
We are looking for someone that is comfortable in the design office and the workshop, bridging the gap and assisting in the smooth manufacture of bespoke furniture.

Pay: £36,500.00-£41,000.00 per year
