Bell has an exciting opportunity for a Fire Stopper to join our Fire London team to carry out works in and around South London. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Job Purpose/Background:
We continue to expand on our already successful reputation in the delivery of Passive Fire Protection works and have secured further works with Clients across the Region.
Compliance is key in our industry & although we are seeking qualified & competent fire door fitters & repair teams, we will provide all of the necessary training for you to obtain certification through our Third-Party Accreditor, GNVQs and indeed progression throughout both the industry and our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work to approved installation guides and techniques undertaking Fire Stopping installations including Penetration sealing, Cavity Barrier installation, and intumescent coatings.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all works.
- Able to use digital technology (Tablet) to record installation evidence to the required standard.
- Working either individually or as part of a team where management and technicians work close together to solve problems.
- Be able to communicate effectively and courteously with work colleagues and our customers alike.
- To understand the importance of compliant installation within the fire safety sector
Knowledge / Experience:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Passive Fire Protection
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NHS/Mental Health Unit experience (desirable)
