Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater / All rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and restoration, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively on various vehicle panels. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assess damaged vehicle panels and determine the necessary repairs.
- Utilise schematics to understand vehicle structure and repair requirements.
- Weld and assemble components as needed to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work as an all rounder
- Employ hand tools and power tools for panel beating tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain and repair equipment used in the panel beating process.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to manoeuvre panels and parts during repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and updates regarding their vehicles.
- Keep the workspace organised and clean, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Must have own tools for the required position
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics effectively.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and assembly processes.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
- Own tools are a necessity
- Strip / fit and mechanical experience essential.
