Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and ensure a smooth patient journey from arrival to departure
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using IT systems
- Assist dental professionals during procedures, including preparing and sterilising equipment
- Support with patient care activities under supervision, ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Handle telephone enquiries professionally, providing information and booking appointments as needed
- Keep the reception area tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Participate in ongoing training to develop skills as a dental nurse
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic IT literacy, including experience with scheduling software or electronic health records preferred
- Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Fluency in English is required to ensure clear communication with patients and staff
- Prior experience in a customer service or healthcare environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in dental nursing and willingness to undertake training as a Trainee Dental Nurse
