Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Waste Collection Driver to join our growing waste management and recycling business. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out commercial waste collections, transporting waste to authorised waste transfer and recycling facilities, and delivering a professional, safe and efficient service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all road traffic legislation and company policies.
- Collect and transport commercial waste from customer premises to authorised waste transfer and recycling facilities.
- Load, secure, transport and unload waste safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and environmental legislation.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects to ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy.
- Accurately complete all operational documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, daily vehicle inspection records and collection logs.
- Deliver a professional, courteous and customer-focused service at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness, security and general condition of company vehicles and equipment.
- Comply with all company policies relating to health and safety, environmental legislation and waste management procedures.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure collections are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience within the waste management, recycling, construction or logistics industry is desirable.
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.
- A full UK Category B driving licence is essential.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card are desirable where applicable to the vehicle or operation.
- Good understanding of road traffic legislation, vehicle safety inspections and safe loading practices.
- Knowledge of Waste Transfer Notes and waste management procedures would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively and meet operational deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual and professional with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 – 17:00
- Overtime and weekend work available.
