Walker's Logs are looking for maternity cover for an office assistant.
This role will include:
- Managing customer enquiries that come in over the phone, online, via email or in person.
- Managing emails, diaries, and day to day office administration.
- Taking customer orders, processing payments, and booking deliveries.
- Managing and booking in new customer orders and deliveries into a diary system.
- Raising sales orders, invoices, and delivery tickets using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Planning and coordinating customer and trade deliveries.
- Operating a weighbridge, weighing in and out deliveries received.
- Organising customer deliveries using an external delivery company.
- Liaising with suppliers and raising purchase orders.
- Processing paperwork including scanning, filing, fuel receipts, and weekly backups.
- Updating reports and figures using Microsoft Excel.
- Supporting social media, newsletters, and promotional tasks.
- Assisting with vehicle management and general office organisation.
- Carrying out additional ad hoc duties including office cleaning and stock management.
Walker's Logs are a leading supplier of kiln dried firewood and kindling to both retail and trade customers. We are a family run business, which started 21 years ago.

Full training will be given, however office experience is necessary.
You must have transport to get to our site GL54 4DL, Public transport is NOT available, due to our location.
Monday - Friday: The hours for this role are 7AM - 4:30PM.
