We are looking for compassionate, reliable Full‑Time Support Workers to work in BEXHILL to join our growing team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll be supporting adults to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. This will include working alternate weekends. Visits can consist of morning, lunch, teatime and evening visits on a fair rota.
As a Support Worker, you will provide person‑centred care tailored to each individual’s needs. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, companionship, taking clients to social activities/appointments and supporting clients with daily living tasks. Every day is different, and every visit makes a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as required
- Monitor and report changes in health status or behaviour patterns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or behavioural challenges
- Follow care plans accurately and document all relevant activities
Skills
- Experience in home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices including Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice, and senior care
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families effectively
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with mobility support
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Ability to handle medication administration responsibly and accurately

Working hours may vary between morning and lunch shifts, afternoon work, evening shifts and weekend work. The desirable candidates would be those willing to work evening and weekend shifts that are scheduled fairly between staff. More than 40 hours available if needed.
