Mandatory Manual Licence is required for this course
Salary: £28,500 to start until passed then earn up to £34,000 pa plus bonus
- Four weekly bonus scheme solely dependent on performance scores from customers giving you the chance to earn an additional £360 per month or £4860 a year
Location: Bolton
Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off shift pattern (includes Saturday sunday) job and finish
Start times: will be fixed start times starting from 06:00am to 06:15am
28 days annual leave giving a year inclusive to bank holidays.

WCR transport is a delivery partner for Currys ltd. We are always looking to grow and provide more trucks on the road which leads to great job opportunities.
The Trainee Driver is a platform for prospective employees and any current WCR employees, who possess an excellent work history and work ethic, who would like to join the distribution team and start the journey to becoming a qualified LGV/HGV Driver.
Whilst training you will start driving a 3.5t vehicle for up to 12 weeks, so that you gain experience of Route Knowledge, Product knowledge, delivery and installs, completing your Theory Cat C Training and Test with CPC mod 4 within this period.
Once qualified you will have enough experience to start driving 7.5 tonne truck.
We will be looking for 2 years commitment to WCR Transport for putting you through your test.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle to deliver goods to various locations
- Ensure all deliveries are made on schedule
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Deliver and install white goods, TVS and other electrical appliances along side a drivers mate (all training on this will be giving)
- Daily vehicle checks following the correct defect reporting procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery records
- Adhere to all road safety regulations
Skills
- Experience in driving commercial vehicles, specifically 3.5-tonne vehicles
- Excellent knowledge of delivery routes and navigation
- Strong attention to detail and time management skill
