Both of these positions require weekday AND weekend working.
Being a Kitchen Assistant at Browns isn't just about supporting the kitchen; it's about being a key part of the entire customers experience. Exceptional customer service is the essence to this role, which you will deliver with Browns Customer Promise at the forefront.
As part of the Kitchen Team, you will greet and serve our customers at the point of sale and work in the kitchen preparing and producing our delicious range of hot & cold food.
Our team work between the hours of 5am & 4pm, weekdays and weekends. We are looking for someone who doesn't mind the early mornings!
Tasks and responsibilities
- Preparing and baking delicious, high-quality food that delights our customers
- Crafting eye-catching food and counter displays that draw customers in
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of our menu items and act on initiative to optimise sales to the customer.
- Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with our customers and their needs.
- Handling transactions with ease and operating the cash register efficiently
- Proudly representing Browns Food Stores & Browns Kitchen by maintaining a professional appearance
- Upholding the highest standards of food handling, safety and hygiene requirements including allergens, labelling and audits
- Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to Health & Safety regulations
- Maintain stock levels/availability by replenishing display/fridges within company guidelines/planograms, rotating stock to ensure compliance with company health & safety guideline
- Clean as directed following the equipment guidelines, company schedules and checklists.
- Complete any training programmes as directed by the company.
Skills
- Previous experience in a food environment is advantageous
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks quickly.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
Pay rate £12.81 (21 and over)
