Get Berkshire Active is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to lead the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approach for the Sport England-funded Britwell Place-Based Investment Programme. The role will use evidence, insight and community voice to understand impact, support learning and inform decision-making across the programme. Working closely with residents, partners and stakeholders, the postholder will help ensure the programme remains evidence-led, community-informed and focused on reducing inequalities through physical activity and movement
Job purpose
The Place Insight & Evaluation Officer plays a key role in the Britwell Place-Based Investment Programme, helping ensure that evidence, learning and community insight inform decision-making, programme delivery and long-term change.
Working as part of the Britwell Place Programme team, the postholder will coordinate the programme's Measuring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approach, supporting partners, residents and stakeholders to understand what is changing, why it is changing and how learning can be used to improve outcomes. The role will help ensure the programme remains evidence-led, responsive and focused on reducing inequalities through physical activity and movement.

In this role, you will:
- Help shape one of Berkshire's most ambitious place-based programmes by ensuring evidence, learning and community voice influence decision-making and future priorities.
- Support partners, residents and stakeholders to better understand what is changing, why it is changing and how learning can be used to improve outcomes.
- Champion a culture of learning, reflection and continuous improvement across the programme and wider partnership.
- Help ensure community insight and lived experience are at the heart of programme development and future investment decisions.
- Work alongside partners, delivery organisations and the commissioned External Evaluator to strengthen understanding of impact and long-term change.
- Contribute to demonstrating the difference the programme is making through high-quality evidence, learning and reporting.
- Help create a healthier, more active and connected Britwell through evidence-led and community-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of the Britwell MEL Framework.
- Coordinate data collection across programme workstreams, delivery partners and Test & Learn projects.
- Maintain accurate datasets, evidence repositories and insight records, including the use of the Moving Communities tool.
- Produce dashboards, learning summaries, insight reports and progress updates for partners and Sport England.
- Coordinate and deliver the Youth Researcher and partner MEL training programmes.
- Support Place Connectors, volunteers and community researchers to gather lived-experience insight.
- Capture stories of change, case studies and qualitative insight to complement programme data.
- Facilitate reflective learning sessions and cycles of learning and action across programme activity.
- Support partners to develop proportionate and practical approaches to monitoring, evaluation and learning.
- Ensure all data is managed securely and ethically in line with GDPR and organisational policies.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
