ecoLiving is a UK manufacturer of detergents, cosmetics and eco household products. We produce a wide range of products including detergent powders, tablets, laundry products, cleaning products, liquids and cosmetic/personal care products for our own brands and private label customers.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our manufacturing team at our Burgess Hill site. This is a hands-on role involving the manufacture, packing and preparation of products across our production lines.
Role Overview
The Production Operative will support the day-to-day manufacturing of our detergent and cosmetic products. This will include powder blending, liquid blending, tablet pressing support, packing, labelling, cleaning and general warehouse duties.
Previous production or warehouse experience would be helpful, but full training can be provided for the right person. Experience with powder or liquid blending would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the manufacture of detergent, cleaning and cosmetic products.
- Assist with powder blending, including weighing and preparing raw materials.
- Assist with liquid blending, including mixing, filling and handling liquid products.
- Support tablet pressing production where required.
- Follow batch sheets, work instructions and production procedures accurately.
- Weigh, measure and prepare ingredients correctly.
- Pack, label and box finished products.
- Carry out basic quality checks during production and packing.
- Keep production and warehouse areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Clean equipment, tools and work areas after production runs.
- Move raw materials, packaging and finished goods safely around the site.
- Help with stock control, stock rotation and general warehouse duties.
- Report any quality issues, damaged materials or machinery problems to a supervisor.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including COSHH requirements.
- Work as part of a team to complete orders on time and to a high standard.

- Experience using weighing scales and following batch sheets.
- Forklift licence.
- Basic understanding of health and safety or COSHH.
