Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients or residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans by following prescribed procedures and documenting progress accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer basic health interventions under supervision, including medication reminders and vital sign monitoring.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, patients, and families to ensure coordinated and consistent care delivery.
- Utilize IT systems effectively for documentation, updating records, and managing care schedules.
- Support transportation needs by driving when required, ensuring safe and timely travel for appointments or outings.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact empathetically with diverse populations.
- Basic IT literacy for managing electronic health records and documentation tasks.
- Valid driving license preferred for roles involving transportation responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to healthcare settings is advantageous.
