Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Carers to join our team within a domiciliary care company. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to our customers. This role involves supervising staff, and ensuring the well-being and comfort of customers are prioritised at all times. A valid driving licence is essential, as the position requires travel between locations. The Senior Carer will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all customers. There is the potential for this role to include the use of a fleet car.
Duties
- Oversee daily care operations within the homes, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Supervise and support other carers, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional development
- Assist customers with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols and document accurately
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation, reporting, and compliance purposes
- Ensure the safety of customers by recognising potential hazards and implementing appropriate measures
- Support with organising transport or community outings as required
- Experience - A Proven track record is essential for this role
- Experience working in a care setting specialising in senior care
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Familiarity with contributing to care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Competence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence is essential for travel requirements

- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations within a care environment
