About the Role
Whether you're looking to start your career in insurance or you're an experienced claims professional ready for your next challenge, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
As a Claims Handler, you'll play a key role in supporting customers through the claims process. You'll investigate and assess claims, calculate settlements, communicate with customers, and work alongside experienced technical specialists and industry experts.
For those new to insurance, full training and support will be provided. For experienced candidates, there will be opportunities to build on your existing knowledge and progress your career within a growing organisation.
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers genuine opportunities for progression, development, and long-term career growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of Accident & Health claims with a high degree of accuracy
- Handling claims relating to Travel, Personal Accident, Income Protection, and Hospital Cash Plans
- Reviewing policies and validating insurance cover
- Assessing claims and calculating settlement values
- Updating claims systems and maintaining accurate records
- Processing incoming correspondence and documentation
- Speaking with customers by phone and email
- Resolving customer queries professionally and efficiently
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining customer satisfaction standards
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, specialists, and management to achieve team goals
- Supporting wider business activities as required

Previous insurance or claims experience is welcome but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right person.
Training & Qualifications
- Full training provided on our bespoke systems and claims processes
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) essential
- Additional qualifications or relevant experience advantageous
