Worlifts Limited is a leading provider of specialist lifting, power tools, hydraulic and industrial equipment services throughout the UK. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) & Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Tester to join our growing team based in Bromsgrove.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in inspection and testing who enjoys working independently while also being part of a professional engineering team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:45am – 4:00pm
The Role
As a HAVS & PAT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out testing and inspections on customer equipment to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) testing on power tools and equipment.
- Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on electrical equipment.
- Recording and maintaining accurate test results and certification.
- Identifying defective or unsafe equipment and reporting findings.
- Labelling equipment following successful testing.
- Liaising with customers regarding testing requirements and results.
- Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment.
- Supporting the engineering and workshop teams when required.
- Travelling to customer sites to undertake testing across the UK where necessary.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience carrying out HAVS and/or PAT testing.
- A recognised PAT Testing qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent preferred).
- Good understanding of Hand Arm Vibration regulations and testing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Basic IT skills for producing reports and certificates.
Desirable
- Experience working within engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of lifting equipment, hydraulic tools or industrial machinery.
- Experience using electronic asset management systems.
