Job Overview
A nursery in Keighley is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their vibrant childcare team.
You will help provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged 0–5 can learn, develop and thrive.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0–5.
- Plan and take part in engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Observe and record children’s development and progress
- Support children’s individual learning and development needs
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the nursery environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleague
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above
- Experience working directly with children in a childcare or nursery environment
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Flexible availablity
SEND experience
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, developmental delay, sensory needs or 1:1 support.
We may also consider applicants with strong hands-on SEND experience for a separate support role, even if they do not hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
