Mechanical Assembler
Salary:
- £12.95 per hour starting rate
- £13.80 per hour after 12 weeks when offered a permanent contract
- £14.92 per hour once fully trained
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, available once fully trained

Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
- Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
- Early finish every Friday
The Role
We are recruiting Mechanical Assemblers to join a well-established manufacturer specialising in modular steel frame construction. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with clear pay progression and ongoing training.
You will be responsible for assembling steel frame components using a range of hand and power tools while working from engineering drawings and following quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products using hand and power tools
- Follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Complete work to a high quality standard
- Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience
- Confident using hand and power tools
Desirable:
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Previous mechanical assembly experience
