Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Residential Children’s Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a dedicated care home home for children and young people. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive, motivated, and professional work environment.
- Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Oversee daily activities, ensuring children’s safety, well-being, and emotional development are prioritized at all times.
- Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely, adhering to all legal and health guidelines.
- Conduct regular staff supervision sessions, training, and performance reviews to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed records related to care delivery, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with external agencies, families, and healthcare professionals to support each child's holistic development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in children’s home environments
- Strong background in managing children's care homes
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a Children’s home setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes and legal requirements related to child welfare and health & safety standards.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures within regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, families, and external agencies.
