Xpert Resourcing is working with a well-established Manufacturing Client based on the outskirts of Ely, who are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business within a purpose-built facility, with opportunities for further training and career progression. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC turning experience and be confident with setting and operating CNC machinery.
Duties will include:
· Setting and operating CNC Turning machines
· Programming machines using Fanuc controls
· Reading and correctly interpreting engineering drawings
· Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high-quality standards
· Selecting and changing tooling as required
· Carrying out quality checks on finished components
· Optimising production techniques to improve efficiency
· Identifying and resolving basic machining issues
· Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Skills/Experience:
· Previous CNC Turning experience
· Experience with Fanuc controls
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
· Practical and hands-on approach
· Good attention to detail
· Good problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
