Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met
- Assist customers with orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Uphold food safety standards at all times by following hygiene protocols and health regulations
- Support team members with general duties such as cleaning, organising stock, and assisting during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar food service role is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a lively environment
- Flexibility to work during peak hours and weekends
